We are Grateful!

WOW
Absolutely Fabulous Evening...
This is SUCH a GREAT life!!
I am SOO present to Miracles!!!
So here's how it went tonite...
AllStar team here, but of course...
Steady flowing no-problemo-of-any-kind night.
Only 2 tables were open & everything was smooth sailing,
like the type of experience you have on a sail boat when the wind is just right...
PURRfection in every way imaginable AND I forgot to AHH!
MIRACLE... ARE YOU READY??
DO YOU ALL KNOW, LOVE & ADORE BILL VOGEL???
I DO, SO MUCH I CAN BARELY DEFINE IT...
(I am driving a new car that is one year old that was Bill's & is now mine, yum)
(p.s. that is a miracle but there is MORE)
Bill hands me his credit card & buys a $1,000 gift card with no discount,
cause he will use that for his food
Then he wants 3 more cards, 2 for $500 & 1 for $200.
I ring up his credit card, t
hank & acknowledge that this is $2,000 going into our thriving business' future.
He then hands me a $500 gift card & says that...
"this is for anyone that can not afford a Gratitude Bowl".
I said " you know what I get to do with this card Bill?"
I get to ring up a $500 I Am Grateful Bowl.
I said that a woman gave me $100 for people who could not afford Grateful Bowls & Terces said, "Anna get that $money$ in the till, because people are going to get fed regardless". Essentially this is what evens out all those $1 Grateful Bowl contributions.
Not only did Bill tip the scale on the highest donation to the I Am Grateful Bowl yet
& not only did he bump my sales up $500,
he did it with the love & pure generosity that has a woman like me moved beyond tears,
to the heart of the work that we do in the world.
When you give freely, as we have with our I Am Grateful Bowl
(Thank you Ryland for creating this)
what we receive is beyond what we thought possible...

Coming Home

Good Morning,

We are getting ready to leave for the airport after two miraculous days in Kansas City. The people were so welcoming, the raw food movement is definitely here(we had a pot luck lunch on Sunday and they all brought a raw food dish to share!), and the workshop was so well attended and supported by open hearted sharing. People want to wake up, people want a new future and they are willing to be a cause in it coming true. Kansas City folks inspired us, they reached out and pulled the workshop towards them, they lined up to share at the microphone and drove from all over the state to be here. We had women and men in their seventies playing full out, sharing what it is like to not be able to get on a plane and go see their great grandchildren because they don't want to be seen as weak, and are unable to walk the distances now required in large airports. They shared what it is like to face moving from an apartment in New York City, where they have lived over 50 years into a one room retirement apartment here in Missouri so that they are closer to their daugher, and sorting through all their things and letting go. So beautiful and deeply moving. Natalie started a sign up sheet for those interested in the Kindred Spirit workshop as so many questions came up about relationship and the page is covered with signatures!
People want what you have.
Thank you for making this possible.
Love you all,
Terces

Day One AR kansas City

WOW can these folks ever share. they lined up to share like no one had ever really listened to them! So inspiring. They really want to break through and are going to cause it! we are inspired but their commitment and willingness to open up.

Thanks for holding the space for miracles like today. Thank you for creating the possibility of us being here.

Natalie cried today when I shared that I invited you all to be UNSTOPPABLE today like I experience her.

Love to hear about YOUR breakthroughs.

Love you all.

Terces

Unstoppable

Good Morning,

We are off to the Abounding River here in Kansas City. Last night as I was falling asleep I started thinking about how powerful being unstoppable is. Matthew and I shared with each other times in our lives when we just couldn't wouldn't be stopped!

Natalie, the woman who put together this workshop was burned badly in a gasoline fire explosion on Sunday (just 6 days ago) and although she limps around and is bandaged, she is still up and causing the workshop. Her husband says, that he is learning to care for her in ways he only dreamed up. She says, she is learning to trust her intuition more. They are an inspiration to be around!

Let's all take on not being stopped, where we might otherwise be.

Let's push through and cause new miracles in areas where we back off.... thanks for playing this LIFE with us.

Where are you going to not be stopped today?

Love, Terces

Cafe Gratitude Changed My Life by Isabella, Customer

Cafe Gratitude Changed My Life

Isabelle is a regular customer. I first met her in Berkeley. She told me her story, and I asked if she'd be willing to write it up for us, with something like this in mind. I have been hoping for months that we'd get a page on our website for testimonies like this.

In June 2007 I stepped in Cafe Gratitude for dinner a bit reluctantly. I was going to a French concert with a friend of mine and she picked that restaurant. I was disappointed at not going to a French restaurant for some nice meat and sauce, plus the word "cafe" did not promise anything good to me.

With some guidance (because I was at a loss) I got a pizza. To my surprise it was good and refreshing. Then the dessert came and that was excellent, a lemon pie. Before I left I bought the book of recipes from the Cafe because I knew I was onto something hot with this type of food.
After that, I came back to it on several occasions, looking for that special taste, exploring many dishes and feeling happy everytime I stepped in that place because of the atmosphere. Then in December of the same year, I decided to eat completly raw for two weeks, which I thought was extreme -- a bit like walking on the moon. My intestinal transit started working like crazy. I did not know one could eliminate so much in one day. Things started changing rapidly: more energy, more clarity in my mind, more passion about life, and happiness every time I would eat at Cafe Gratitude, just beaming happiness.
I started to look at books and bought them one by one at the restaurant to get educated.
I integrated more and more raw food. I am now 100% raw and I am smiling at that time in December 2007 when I thought that diet was extreme. It feels home now, just the right home for me. I smiled also at that time where I took all my courage to try the wheat grass thinking it was going to taste awful. Now I make it often at home and love it. Of course, I did a lot of adjusting in that one year transition going back and forth between raw food and my usual food, especially when going to France with the cassoulet, the duck confit, the foie gras and the frog legs, that I needed to revisit in my palate. Let us not forget about the cheeses. What helped me finish my transition to a raw food diet was the education I got with the DVDs at Cafe Gratitude: Living on Live Food by Alissa Cohen, The Future of Food, Earthlings and Eating. The last two ones had a major impact in my life, and in December 2008 I decided to never go back to animal flesh and that no animal should ever suffer on my account. This was such a big turn in my life that I had to go to church and pray for forgiveness for a life lived in ignorance imposing so much suffering to animals.
I am enjoying life to the fullest now. I use a lot of green smoothies and keep exploring receipes from different books. I have started a garden and I am working a lot at it preparing compost for a better soil. My son, 14, likes the raw food I prepare at home. I am genuinely excited about life now which is new to me because death was pretty much all I was wishing for a long time. My psychiatrist has seen a big change in me since I integrated raw food in my life and somehow I turned her on to it also.
So I really want to thank Cafe Gratitude from the bottom of my heart for opening my horizons on so many different levels, for taking me as I was with no agenda on me and helping me to grow one visit at a time at the restaurant. Matthew, Terces, if you ever read my testimony, I really want to say Thank you for that magical place you created that showed me a whole different world is possible. Bless you,
Isabelle

Sunday Farmer's Market at Marin Civic Center -by, Treasure Van Dinther manager of the Farmer's Market, event, catering and wholesale.

Today’s Miracle

We had a blast at the Marin Civic Center Farmers’ Market with the CafĂ© Gratitude Booth. I was working with one of my best friends Vinicio. He’s a miracle in itself- I have so much unconditional love for this man- it is crazy! We are amazing workers, both of us. He coaches me to be a better leader by encouraging me to make clear requests. Vinicio is so great at asking people the question of the day. He’s even gotten me to start asking people at the checkout at the grocery store. A man walks straight up to me and says that he has a question, which I delightfully say yes to because I wouldn’t be in this job if I didn’t love the questions. He asked “What part of me would need to die, so that the world could fully experience my gifts?” I felt my heart pounded and my eyes swelled up. I knew the answer right away. I been battling for 3 to5 days of intense self judgment and every thought was something about how everything was wrong with me and that I was not good enough. I answered “my judgments and anything that thinks that I need to be anything other than me.” I tear up. I thanked the stranger and introduce myself to him. Just as the stranger leave, my ex-boyfriend comes up with flowers for me. I am so loved, seen and felt. I have so much evidence that I am amazing. I’d be crazy not to see it. I love my life and myself.!

The Whole Food miracle

On Tuesday we met with John Mackey, the founder of Whole Foods Markets. I was so inspired by him, his committment to education, to empowering people to be responsible for their well being, to serve his fellow men and women. Here is a man who could retire, but he is making his life about making a difference. No matter what I might think about corporations, I see the possibility of them doing great good in the world. Commerce is the foundation of life, everything we have others participate in and we reward or ackowledge them for that. How great to have the opportunity to partner with such a visionary and expand what is possible for life on this planet.
Miraculous!

Grateful Mic Night: by Anna Grace

Grateful Mic Night:
We had one glorious guest show up for Grateful Mic night, & he played & played his key board & it was magical & soothing. Funny thing is that we were so busy & started to sell out of things, so we barely got the equipment up! YEAH, we were hussling!!!
IT IS INTERESTING CAUSE AT TIMES WE ARE SWARMING WITH PEEPS FOR THIS EVENT.
It is one of our little sweet starlights last night here, KIKI.
What's amazing is that she has been with us for 2 days shy of a year & has experienced a massive transformation in that time! We get to witness SO much transformation in our community, it astounds me!
I apologize I have not been spreading the miracle email vibration to you all. I somehow backed up ion emails & only today finally cleared them (no excuses). Thank you for the inspiration.
My miracle to share in this moment is a review with Noel Bartholomew, Marya's fiance'.
He is such an incrediable individual who particpates in this game in such a unique way. He is very atuned with Spirit & really sees through people right to their core. It is an honor to work with such an awesome man who I consider a relative!
Welcome HOME Matty, Terces, Aya, John, Eden, Mark etc... can not wait to hear the miracles!!!
Oh p.s. I have been really enjoying interacting at such a deep level with guests. I can see "health" in peoples eyes & in ther skin & acknowledge people, such as a woman named Marty with whom I told her she looked "timeless". She gave me a history of her health choices, vegan for 29 years, veg before that, RAW FOR for 12 YEARS!!! I said "that's what it is" She said "I am 61"!!! I told her that I was going to have a group gathering "Conscious Choosing" (for those of you who know me,) & I would love to invite you to share your story! I will be calling you all to schedule an event at most or all of your cafe's! That is one of the things I am doing with my business cards. I am being more with our guests! & spreading my love more & more & more.
